Help Us Feed the Abandoned, Homeless.

Good Samaritan Trust is providing meals
and taking care of the elderly abandoned by their families.
Close to 18 million elders in India are homeless. Senior citizens living in poverty face abandonment by their
own families as they cannot earn an income. Senior citizens living in poverty
face abandonment by their own families as they cannot earn an income. Lack or absence of financial independence creates a stressful life and invites
problems, including physical and mental health issues.
“No one should have to spend their final days in dirt and squalor,” says
George Rakesh Babu, who has made it his life’s mission to help as many abandoned and sick elderly as possible. the Good Samaritans are a group of people who formed a formal trust in March 2011 organize their effort and seek help for their activity. The good Samaritans
have taken in around 300+ abandoned, old, sick, or dying destitute till date
from the roads. The people who get well go back to their families. Few of them
stay back and help with the running of the home.
During the pandemic, we served more than 3 lacs migrant workers and elderly people who either didn’t have any source of income or lost their livelihood. Their smile
is what makes us happy and motivated to reach more people. We need 2,50,000
meals to provide for the destitute elderly in our shelters. A good meal and
good health will only be possible with your help.
